Looking for work? FIFA is hiring in Vancouver ahead of the June matches

The organization is recruiting for security, crowd management and hospitality positions as Vancouver prepares to host FIFA World Cup events next month.

With the first FIFA World Cup match in Vancouver now less than a month away, FIFA is ramping up hiring for a range of match-day and event operations roles across the city.

Current openings span security, crowd management and hospitality, with positions intended to support tournament operations on game day.

Among the roles currently listed is a Stadium Exterior Security Manager position, responsible for overseeing security operations outside stadium grounds and screening activities during matches. Another posting, Stadium Crowd Management Specialist, focuses on supervising private security teams deployed throughout public spectator areas.

The organization is also hiring for hospitality-related positions, including a Catering Coordinator role tasked with overseeing on-site food and beverage operations during FIFA events. In addition to salary, the roles offer benefits packages including medical, dental, vision and disability coverage.

According to a joint statement previously issued by B.C. Tourism Minister Spencer Chandra Herbert and Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim, the tournament is expected to bring roughly a million additional out-of-province visitors to B.C. between 2026 and 2031, generating more than $1 billion in additional visitor spending.
