Langley‘s Smugglers‘ Trail Caskworks won a Craft Beer Marketing award for Coolest Taproom
Five Canadian companies accounted for all 10 of the country’s Craft Beer Marketing Awards (also called the Crushies ) this year.
The second annual Crushies gave out branding awards to beers from five regions around the world. Of the 10 prizes that Canadian brands won in the Americas category, four went to Calgary design firm Daughter, while Ontario-based businesses took three.
The remaining three were handed out to B.C. breweries, with Langley’s Smugglers’ Trail Caskworks winning for both Brewery Rebrand and Coolest Taproom. After years of contract brewing, Smugglers’ Trail opened last fall.
Meanwhile, Victoria-based Driftwood Brewery combined with Nanaimo design agency Hired Guns Creative to take home Best Bottle Design for Driftwood’s Eccentricity Wheat Wine, an 11.4-percent aged ale.
