Baubles for Banting Fundraising Gala
Birks Downtown Vancouver Flagship Store
September 29, 2011
Held at the Birks flagship store in downtown Vancouver, the first-ever Baubles for Banting Gala raised over $100,000 for the Canadian Diabetes Association. The event, chaired by Telus Corporation’s Rusty Goepel, brought together doctors, lawyers, and business professionals to dig deep into their pockets to make donations and bid on auction items.
Among the fundraising auction items were a 1.64-carat necklace, a 2011 Grey Cup VIP package, and a golf trip to the Palm Springs with Rusty Goepel and Ken Woods, chairman of the 2011 Canadian Open.
