skoah Skin Athletes Reception
skoah Yaletown
February 16, 2012
Vancouver-based spa and skincare company skoah welcomed their 2012 Skin Athlete ambassadors with a cocktail reception. The company is owned by husband-wife team Chris and Andrea Scott, who were both present to celebrate the addition of the local athletes to their “krew.”
skoah’s tagline, “personal training for your skin,” is aimed to inspire staff and clients to achieve not only healthy skin, but to be goal-oriented in achieving their dreams. This year, skoah has chosen three athletes who they believe embody their philosophy and are role models in the community: 2010 Olympic gold medalist Ashleigh McIvor, Vancouver Canuck Mason Raymond and professional snowboarder Spencer O’Brien.
Guests enjoyed photos with the athletes by donation, and a percentage of product sales went towards skoah’s Hopeful Hand Charity, which supports parents of terminally ill children in B.C. and Alberta. The evening was also dedicated to remembering beloved freestyle skier Sarah Burke, skoah’s first-ever Skin Athlete.
