Vancouver rated Canada's best city for commuting: study
Trying to stuff yourself on the B-Line is a pain, and the Commercial Drive SkyTrain station is a zoo during peak hours, but Vancouverites can take solace that, according to U.K. business resource and research firm Expert Market, their city is the best one for commuting in the country.
Metro Vancouver came 33rd in a study by the firm that ranked 74 cities with populations of more than 300,000 across the world in terms of how stressful and cost-efficient it is for citizens to get around.
Led by Nice, France, in the No. 1 spot, European countries dominate the list, taking up 19 of the top 20.
But Vancouver ranked high among North American countries on the list, trailing only Minneapolis (20), San Diego (27) and Guadalajara (28).
Only three other Canadian cities made the list, with Ottawa (38), Montreal (46) and Toronto (69) coming in behind Vancouver.
