According to a poll published Monday by Insights West, a slim majority of Metro Vancouverites, 52 per cent, said they support a proposed 0.5 per cent regional increase to the provincial sales tax to fund transit expansion—and will either certainly or most likely vote “Yes” in a spring referendum asking them just that. We at BCBusiness were wondering if our readers felt similarly. It’s important to note the higher sales tax would only take effect in Metro Vancouver.
