Venzee Inc., a Vancouver company that specializes in developing software for retail and supply chain companies, announced the launch of new technology that it hopes will connect businesses with blockchain networks.
Simply put, blockchain is a digital ledger that records transactions made in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
“Blockchain is poised to be the most disruptive force in business in generations—it establishes a new level of trust, accountability and transparency in any kind of electronic transaction,” Kate Hiscox, co-founder and CEO of Venzee, said in a statement.
Venzee’s creation, called Mesh, aims for fast and easy data exchange between blockchain networks and businesses in any industry.
Launched in 2014, Venzee helps e-commerce vendors share new product information. The company, which realized that most of this work was being done through spreadsheets, made easy-to-access technology for online retailers.
Mesh will take a similar approach. The program acts in three stages: merging data, transforming it to fit requirements and deploying the results after a system of custom failsafe checks to ensure that incorrect or sensitive data isn’t written to blockchain.
Mesh will be released to the public in 2018.
