Speakers at the TEDxVancouver event include entertainers and entrepreneurs
TEDxVancouver speaker Wesley Williams, better known as Maestro Fresh Wes
There are talks, and then there are TED Talks. TEDxVancouver, an independently organized TED gathering, brings the conversation to B.C. on November 12. This year’s theme: distortion, or looking at the world through many different lenses. So far, announced speakers include U.S. actor Joely Fisher, Juno Awardwinning Canadian rapper Wesley Williams—aka Maestro Fresh Wes—and entrepreneur Cameron Herold, former COO of Vancouver-based 1-800-GOT-JUNK.
Tickets range in price from $49 to $149, and the main event takes place at the Vancouver Playhouse; Microsoft Vancouver, Hootsuite Inc. and Vancouver Film School will host satellite talks. For tickets, click here.
The BCBusiness editorial team lives for big ideas, bold entrepreneurs and the business stories that make B.C. tick.
