GCCA | BCBusinessThe 160 nominations for the GCCA Later Stage Awards will be judged in 10 categories by 30 cleantech venture capitalists and professionals collectively managing over $3.5 billion in clean tech investment.
The Global Cleantech Later Stage Awards just announced its nominees for the year, and 11 out of more than 160 companies are from Vancouver. Canadian companies received a total of 18 nominations. Vancouver led the pack, with just four nominations going to companies in Toronto and three in Montreal. The Later Stage Awards are given to mid- and late-stage companies from industries including everything from solar, wind and clean web to lighting/energy efficiency, waste and water. The nominees were selected based on each company’s impact on its sector and geographic region. Nominated companies Corvus Energy and Solegear Bioplastics Inc. were also featured on the BCBusiness list of 20 Most Innovative Companies in B.C. this year. The Vancouver nominees are:
