Current “carbon capture and storage” (CCS) facilities are handling only 7.5 percent of the emissions that the world will need to eliminate every year by 2025 if nations are to keep the increase in global warming below 2 C (3.6 F). China is exploring how to bury carbon dioxide under the ocean.
