Okanagan-Skaha School District 67 is preparing to plug in its second solar energy project above Skaha Lake Middle School.
District facilities manager Doug Gorcak told the CBC that the installation will save the district about $15,000 and will power about 25 percent of the building.
Over 300 solar panels will be installed on the roof. The project is expected to be up and running by summer.
