Despite the hot summer weather, these local entrepreneurs are freezing cold
From tech to hospitality, banking to sports, B.C.’s business community has embraced the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, a phenomenon among celebrities and people who get a kick out of pouring ice-cold water over themselves. Where and when the challenge started is now in dispute, but what isn’t is the astonishing amount of money raised for a disease once largely outside the public’s radar.
As of August 20, ALS Canada had raised over $5 million and was in the enviable position of revising its fundraising goal yet again, this time to $7.5 million. Take a look at who’s getting dumped on:
