That time of year is here again (already!), and to absolutely no one’s surprise, this year’s top stories reveal what our audience can’t get enough of: real estate, real estate and more real estate. Our new Market Value column—breaking down one buzzy B.C. property deal every Friday—launched this year, and as the list below proves, you devoured it.
Still, there were a few delightful curveballs: a virtual tour of the province’s only hotel room designed for sex, a deep dive into the wild-meets-luxury Sonora Resort and, of course, news of Aritzia’s expansion.
Here are the most-read stories of 2025.
10. The 2025 BCBusiness 30 Under 30 Winners
Like 2024 and 2023 before it, our 30 Under 30 program remains one of our most loved editorial packages. B.C.’s endless tap of stellar youth talent helps, so does the infinite care our editorial team brings to the package. Expect the 2026 lineup to be just as exciting, if not more.

9. Where luxury meets the wild: Inside B.C.’s remote Sonora Resort
Floatplanes, grizzlies and five-star linens—this story proves you can rough it very comfortably. A reminder that B.C.’s idea of “getting away from it all” still comes with world-class wine lists and Wi-Fi (if you want it).

8. Inside B.C.’s first and only hotel room designed explicitly for sex
Okay, this headline has obvious appeal. Hotel Zed’s Love Nest leans all the way in—proving that sometimes a tourism story goes viral for reasons that have nothing to do with thread count, and everything to do with vibes.

7. How one North Van Couple is restoring Arthur Erickson’s 1963 Perry Estate
Here in B.C.. we love our local celebrity names and Arthur Erickson is pretty much royalty in the design world. So, of course, the story about one local couple’s painstaking restoration of his Perry Estate—where every beam and brick gets the reverence of a heritage rock star—was a hit.

6. The 2025 Women of the Year Awards
The only package more loved than our 30 Under 30 program is BCBusiness’s Women of the Year Awards. This year’s lineup included CEOs, founders, builders and change-makers rewriting the rules across B.C.’s biggest industries, from boardrooms to grassroots companies.

5. Surrey Condo Flash Sale: 25 percent Off at Belvedere Tower Signals Shift in B.C. Market
We love a good deal—especially when it involves real estate and (dare we say it) affordable housing. So when a Surrey condo flash sale landed with steep discounts and near-instant sell-outs, we were all ears.
