Ryan Beedie, president of real estate developer The Beedie Group, is the Pacific Region overall winner of the BCBusiness 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Beedie was chosen from among the winners in these eight categories – Family Business, Business-to-Business, Cleantech, Business-to-Consumer, Real Estate & Construction, Health Sciences, Technology & Media and Mining & Metals. Beedie was visibly moved when his name was announced and he approached the podium to make his acceptance speech.
