Vancouver-based luxury bedding company Wilet turns social media’s productivity-based nature on its head by filling its feed with the opposite of doing more. They invite you to stay in bed (with their super-soft sheets, quilts and duvets, of course) through a series of aspirational Instagram videos. Based on their 35k-plus followers, we’d say they’re earning future dreamers by the hordes.
You can find them in the club
Wilet heartily promotes JOMO (the joy of missing out) by setting the scene with a gorgeous bedside set up—jewellery holders, a carafe of water, an essential oil diffuser, books, under-eye collagen pads and, of course, a comfy bed complete with their signature linen sheets and duvet cover in muted colours. Overlaid on the video are the words “My kind of clubbing.”

Take back your time
This social media manager wastes no time in letting followers know they can take back their own. On the eve of the (last ever in B.C.) end of daylight saving time, the company posted a video of a person laying sheets on a bed, fluffing pillows and crawling under a duvet and captioned it:

Add in a bit of WFH humour
It’s easier to roll out of bed and get to work when your job is remote, so Wilet’s social media manager takes a humourous stab at those who do. With the words “Your WFH friend on a random Thursday” on the screen, a woman tosses and turns in a cozy-looking bed outfitted in Wilet sheets at 8:59 a.m.—then, a dramatic, sudden cut to her being alert and sitting up in bed with a laptop (in a change of clothes) at 9 a.m. sharp.
