“Secret fare” is the newest evolution in the travel and airline industries. It is essentially a price that could be as much as 35 percent lower than the “normal fares” airlines publish elsewhere. It can be found only through a mobile app developed by Hopper Inc., and half a dozen airlines have agreed to participate in this new strategy. It’s a win-win for both the airlines, who continue battling costs, and the passengers, who want to pay less to travel.
