Over 400 guests attended the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s 31st annual Crystal Ball presented by Beedie Development on November 24 at the Four Seasons Hotel. More than $2.8 million was raised in support of pediatric mental health. The evening began with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by welcoming remarks by emcee Chris Gailus, Global BC news anchor. The Crystal Ball committee chair was Jennifer Johnston. The ball conclude with a raffle draw and after-party.
Funds raised will allow the launch of a hospital-wide program that addresses the impact of pain on mental health, expanding current mental health programs and bringing hospital expertise to underserved communities.
As the province’s only full-service, pediatric acute care hospital, BC Children’s Hospital serves one million children living in B.C. and the Yukon. Since its inception, the Crystal Ball has raised close to $28 million.
