Canada Post’s brand new home in Richmond, near the Vancouver International Airport—a consolidation of the Georgia Street and Richmond facilities—is an exercise in efficiency. With 700,000 square feet of wired technology, this bright, spacious facility can process 12,000 packages per hour and boasts 30,000 feet of high-tech conveyors to ensure that your package gets to its correct destination, whether that’s Yellowknife or Youbou.
Part of Canada Post’s “Postal Transformation” initiative, the new Richmond facility is the latest addition to the $2-billion multi-year plan to invest in new infrastructure, equipment and technology.
