At a time when global uncertainty has Canadians worried about their investments, their pensions and their jobs, it’s virtually impossible to avoid hearing reports of a dismal future. But at the Vancouver head office of the Peter Kiewit Sons Co. Western Canada district, and on the sites of its many projects in B.C., there isn’t time to think gloom and doom. It’s not that Kiewit employees are unconcerned about the world around them, but as David Wallace, senior manager with Kiewit, says, “When the world gives you lemons, Kiewit gets into the lemonade business.”
